(Part 1 & 2) March 11, 2010, Pioneer Courthouse Square, Portland Oregon. Socialists gather unlawfully. Security is shouted down, and a union member steps in to interfere with officers. Mob rule prevails. Participants advocate violence and assembling without the proper permits. Numerous profanities are used with children present. High School students are encouraged to walk out of class and are on the way. Signs show violent symbols (e.g., “Sacrifice the Rich,” cross hairs with bullet holes), and homophobic slurs (“Scott Walker is a Koch Fiend.”). More of the same is promised in the future.

(Part 3) March 11, 2010, Pioneer Courthouse Square, Portland Oregon: In Part 3 a crowd pan shot is done for the purpose of viewers crowd size estimates which I kindly request they comment. There are some protesters up close to the videographer that can not be seen so it is difficult to make an estimate. Next a protester references “elves in the night” as a legitimate means to achieve goals. This parlance commonly refers to ELF which was at one time the top domestic terror organization in the US as declared by the FBI. Another protester advocates students taking spring break in Madison. He states that he has a (quote/unquote) “Comrade” in Madison Wisconsin who he just spoke to. We move on to video and still right up front for all of the speeches including the numerous profanities (from Parts 1-3) is shown. A speaker makes a vitriolic speech where she “drops the ‘F’ bomb,” advocating public funding for Planned Parenthood, and alternative gender rights. Other F-Bombs can be heard. A child is shown learning to read from a socialist sign at the back of the crowd. A sign with a homophobic slur is shown. Socialist literature on display is shown. A sign disparaging “Corporate A$$holes” is shown with some younger protesters.
