Kenderick L. Towner 18 years of age
(Chicago Tribune) –Mack Heard, 17, and Kendrick L. Towner, 18, both of Richton Park, [Link --Ed.]were ordered held in lieu of $50,000 bail each when they appeared today before Judge Maria Kuriakos Ciesil on a felony hate crime charge and a misdemeanor count of aggravated battery in a public place.

The third teen, a 14-year-old boy, was cited in a juvenile petition with the same offenses. He was not identified because of his age.

The teens approached the 23-year-old south suburban man in a restroom and started making fun of his hair, threatening him and hurling anti-gay comments, according to an arrest report.The 14-year-old boy allegedly pulled out a pocket knife and said, “You don’t want to (expletive) with us -– we Four Corner Hustlers,” [Link --Ed.] the report states.
…The victim called 911 after he saw Towner drop his book bag and walk toward him with his fists clenched.

Hate crime, smate crime. A crime, is a crime, is a crime. The threatening act of raised fists and a pulled knife is a crime. A hate crime being classified as a felony and aggravated battery as a misdemeanor is ridiculous. But that is the sort of bassackwards, upside world we are forced to live in today.
If it weren’t for the threatening acts I would defend these punks. But once they crossed the line of threatening violent assault, they are on their own as far as I’m concerned. In regards to the aggravated battery charges, that is. Which is all they should of been charged with.
Though that being said, the existence of the “hate crime” of words alone, is a threat of it’s own –on free speech. And an assault, is an assault, is an assault.
Enough with the madness of thought control.
Enough with the trampling on “all men are created equal”.
Enough already!
Update: Thanks to a reminder from Barry in the comment thread, some perspective.
Shaina Perry remembers the punch to her face, blood streaming from a cut over her eye, her backpack with her asthma inhaler, debit card and cellphone stolen, and then the laughter.
“They just said ‘Oh, white girl bleeds a lot,‘ ” said Perry, 22, who was attacked at Kilbourn Reservoir Park over the Fourth of July weekend.

Now if the couple that was flash mob (what we used to call a “gang”) attacked while watching the July 4th celebrations were gay and not just white they might see some justice.

I never thought I would see the day that black would be charged with a haaaaate crime. But I guess it was becaused they were perceived to have been threatening an odd person. So being odd trumps being black, huh?
Holder would never even had them arrested.
The way I read it, the victim is gay. Or at least the assailants thought he was.

You have nailed the situation with a bulls-eye.This is the only result to be expected under Liberal Politicians and Liberal Judges. They want to turn the Judeo-Christian foundation of this nation completely on it’s head. Therefore, the more perverted a person the more legal protections he gets.
A thinking person will realise that this can only go so far before each community will form it’s own Vigilante Committee.Then the Police will be helpless because there are always a lot more citizens than Police. Many of the National Guard Troops are in the Mideast. Much of the Regular Service Members are also deployed. It would be much like the Cloward-Piven Strategy in reverse. People will defend themselves when the Authorities fail or refuse to do so.
Milwaukee chief of stupidity told his officers to try and sweep it under the rug. Again. The citizens of Riverwest have come out in great force to say: ENOUGH.
After an impromptu town hall, the chief reluctantly had to publicly accept how badly HE failed the citizens of Milwaukee, and said that police officers would begin taking ALL victim statements from that moment forward.
The guy wants to make it look like flash mobs and racism against white is NOT an issue. Of course it is. They robbed a gas station, and even some of the parents of the ‘kids’ involved turned them in. Thank God for those parents as they attempt to do the police job and make sure they help their kids grow up correctly. Hats off to them. Being a parent in todays age is NOT easy, and it’s only getting harder.
If the victims are just white heterosexuals, it is not a hate crime. The only time that these are hate crimes is if the white victim is a homosexual, bisexual, transgender, etc. Otherwise all crimes against whites are just crimes and have nothing to do with hate,.. according to the media and all who are in charge of political correctness.
