The Heritage Foundation’s Rory Cooper tweeted that Obama had casually dropped his own name into Ronald Reagan’s official biography on www.whitehouse.gov, claiming credit for taking up the mantle of Reagan’s tax reform advocacy with his “Buffett Rule” gimmick.

My first thought was, he must be joking. But he wasn’t—it turns out Obama has added bullet points bragging about his own accomplishments to the biographical sketches of every single U.S. president since Calvin Coolidge (except, for some reason, Gerald Ford). Here are a few examples:

• On Feb. 22, 1924 Calvin Coolidge became the first president to make a public radio address to the American people. President Coolidge later helped create the Federal Radio Commission, which has now evolved to become the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). President Obama became the first president to hold virtual gatherings and town halls using Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, etc.

• In a 1946 letter to the National Urban League, President Truman wrote that the government has “an obligation to see that the civil rights of every citizen are fully and equally protected.” He ended racial segregation in civil service and the armed forces in 1948. Today the Obama administration continues to strive toward upholding the civil rights of its citizens, repealing Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, allowing people of all sexual orientations to serve openly in our armed forces.

• President Lyndon Johnson signed Medicare signed (sic) into law in 1965—providing millions of elderly healthcare stability. President Obama’s historic health care reform law, the Affordable Care Act, strengthens Medicare, offers eligible seniors a range of preventive services with no cost-sharing, and provides discounts on drugs when in the coverage gap known as the “donut hole.”

• On August 14, 1935, President Roosevelt signed the Social Security Act. Today the Obama administration continues to protect seniors and ensure Social Security will be there for future generations.

• In a June 28, 1985 speech Reagan called for a fairer tax code, one where a multi-millionaire did not have a lower tax rate than his secretary. Today, President Obama is calling for the same with the Buffett Rule.

• President John F. Kennedy famously suggested the American people: “Ask what you can do for your country.” In 1961, the Peace Corps was created, facilitating service among citizens working toward peace in developing countries. In 2011, President Obama celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Peace Corps with a Presidential Proclamation.

It’s difficult to decide which of these are the lamest.  The entry on JFK has to be in the running, though, with its proud declaration that Obama signed a proclamation! That must have been hard work, eh?

An independent group favoring Republican presidential rival Mitt Romney is launching a $25 million, monthlong advertising campaign in 10 states against President Barack Obama, further escalating an expensive TV ad war in presidential battlegrounds six months before Election Day.

Crossroads GPS plans to open the effort Thursday by spending $8 million on a TV ad that castigates Obama on the economy by using his own words against him.

First one out of the gate; this new ad by America Crossroads highlighting some of the most flagrant examples of Obama’s false hope and change, is concise and straight to the point. Which should make it all the more effective.

Open wide Obama, and eat your words.

(Orlando Sentinel) –George Zimmerman had a broken nose, two black eyes and lacerations on the back of his head the day after his fatal confrontation with 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, ABC-TV news reported Tuesday night.

ABC said it had obtained a medical report that documents Zimmerman’s injuries.

In the report, a doctor wrote that Zimmerman became nauseated when he thought about the violence that had occurred Feb. 26 near his home in Sanford and it was “imperative that Zimmerman speak with his psychologist.”

Also Tuesday, WFTV-Channel 9 reported that an autopsy shows Trayvon had broken skin on his knuckles.

Zimmerman told investigators he shot Trayvon, an unarmed high-school student from Miami Gardens, in self-defense.

Zimmerman declined to go to a hospital the night of the shooting, ABC reported. No blood was visible in video taken in the sally port of the Sanford police station when officers brought Zimmerman in for questioning, but ABC showed a photo it identified as Zimmerman’s bloody head.

One thug threw a sucker punch so powerful it knocked the soldier off of his feet, then the rest of the wilding pack came out of the shadows and pummeled him with kicks and punches including in his face –while he was down.

Three out of the four thugs are black, with the fourth possibly being an Hispanic.

It’s shocking,” Tampa police Lt. Mary O’Conner said. “It was an absolutely vicious attack.”

A group of three young men is seen walking ahead of the soldier. Police say one of the men in the group doubled back and asked to soldier to borrow a dollar. When the soldier reached for his wallet, the first punch flew.

The first, tremendous sucker punch laid the victim onto the ground. The other two men joined in, punching and kicking the soldier.

A fourth man comes sprinting into view from the left edge of the video. The new attacker — a man the soldier said he had walked past earlier — joined in the beating.

The victim was not able to tell police much more: they’re all in their late teens to early 20′s. Two were black men with an average build, police said. One attacker was possibly Hispanic, also with an average build. The fourth man was also black, but with a heavier build.

Police are hoping someone knows about this brutal beating and will call Tampa Police at 813-354-6600 to help them find the attackers.

(WSTP) –TAMPA, Fla. — The violent mugging of a young soldier in Tampa earlier this week has gained national attention. Surveillance video showing the 24-year-old being punched and kicked has been seen by millions. It has been described as “heartbreaking” and “shocking.”

Police are still searching for the men responsible, and now a local law firm is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to their arrest.

“With the video, I realized how serious this is,” said Winters & Yonker attorney Bill Winters. [...]

It’s easy to write off President Obama’s announcement of his support for gay marriage as a political ploy during an election year. But don’t believe the cynics. Andrew Sullivan argues that this announcement has been in the making for years. “When you step back a little and assess the record of Obama on gay rights, you see, in fact, that this was not an aberration. It was an inevitable culmination of three years of work.”

And President Obama has much in common with the gay community. “He had to discover his black identity and then reconcile it with his white family [Including the "typical white" grandmother who raised him?], just as gays discover their homosexual identity and then have to reconcile it with their heterosexual family,” Sullivan writes.

If “evolving” is holding back to the last possible minute to admit support for same sex marriage, then sure O’s has evolved.

It will get much worse, the closer the election gets. In order to trudge through the Obamessiah muck and mire, hazmat suits and barf bags will be absolute must haves.

‘Man, the media ate me alive,” Wright told me when we met in his office at Chicago’s Kwame Nkrumah Academy. “After the media went ballistic on me, I received an e-mail offering me money not to preach at all until the November presidential election.”

“Who sent the e-mail?” I asked Wright.

“It was from one of Barack’s closest friends.”

“He offered you money?”

“Not directly,” Wright said. “He sent the offer to one of the members of the church, who sent it to me.”

“How much money did he offer you?”

“One hundred and fifty thousand dollars,” Wright said.

“Did Obama himself ever make an effort to see you?”
